Origami Frog Kyle in Las Vegas: Froggie’s Travel Series IV

After going through all kinds of grand scale nature, Kyle was ready to face some civilization, in other words, Las Vegas.

“Wish I was with someone special”

The Hotel Paris had a theme of France, where had Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe in front.  So romantic that he wished he was with a significant other.

Next morning, Kyle felt like playing some slot. And there was where he met a beautiful girl.

“A Beautiful Stranger”

After some time, Kyle got to talk to her – her name is Michaela. (Again, remember that frog in Japanese is “kaeru” and we pronounce “r” as “l”) Kyle finally got Michaela’s number and they decided to go out to walk outside, where they saw a gondola in front of The Hotel Valentia, Italian-themed hotel.

Fortunately I knew some place where they could go on a gondola ride, so off there went – The Forum Shops’ water fountain (Caesar’s Palace, a hotel with Greek-theme). I made them a little origami boat, and there they went on the water for a romantic date.

After the gondola ride, they walked sunny outside. It was almost too warm, so they came back inside and chilled at the botanic garden in Mirage, they got a lot closer…

They took a walk, and watched sunset in front of Caesars Palace…

At the end of the day, Kyle wanted to show Michalea his favorite spot of Las Vegas – the view of Eiffel Tower in front of the Hotel Paris.

Say hello to everyone, Kyle!

It’s been a while – so much story to tell you!

First of all, I’m not a college student anymore. As I will start my full time job in NYC very soon, I will have some more time to write more for this blog. Be on the lookout for the upcoming instructions for even more creative and useful origami!

Secondly, I finally got to see my parents the first time in a year and half! It was good.

At last but not least, I’ll be traveling across the states starting from PA to west coast. My little origami frog will be taking you from the place to place. His name is Kyle, because a Japanese word for a frog is “ka-e-ru,” with which we pronounce the “R” sound in Japanese closer to the “L” sound in English - therefore ka-e-lu, or Kyle. I hope this makes sense to most of you. Once I get settled, I’ll also post the instructions on how to make frogs.
